We realized the great need for a collective voice among small and local businesses in the Midway area, so, in 2021, we began the hard work of organizing a chamber.

We are happy to report that, as of January 2023, this chamber is independently governed by a separate board of directors, comprised of local business owners across Gage Park, Garfield Ridge and Chicago Lawn! The group meets on the first Monday of every month.

While a few similar business groups exist already, we felt that their missions aligned more with large-scale developments, and we found this problematic, as we live in the shadow of a major airport, which makes it more difficult than usual to open and maintain a small business.

 

It's imperative that we keep our unique community thriving.
